Doctors’ appointments are usually of 10 minutes’ duration; however, longer consultations can be arranged. If you have a complex problem, or feel as though you might need extra time with the doctor, please ask the reception staff to book you a longer appointment so you will have plenty of time to have your issue attended to.

We offer a Text Messaging reminder service. If we have your mobile phone number, we will send you a reminder the day before your appointment.

Every effort is made to provide an appointment with the GP of your choice; however, for urgent matters this may not be possible.

We always try to keep as close as possible to the appointed times; however, if we are unable to do so, our staff will inform you of any expected delays.

At every visit to Maple Leaf Medical Centre, we will endeavour to remind you to update your details. In case we do not remind you to do so, kindly ring us to update your telephone number and postal address.

Out-of-Hours Medical Assistance

Out-of-hours medical care can be obtained by calling National Home Doctor Service at 137 425.

Emergency Department at The Northern Health is very close, about 5-minute drive. The number is 03 8405 8000.

In an emergency, ring 000 for an ambulance.
