Repeat Scripts

Patients who require repeat prescription may be able to place an order via the reception or make a script-only appointment if they have been seen within the previous three (3) months for a consultation.

  • If you have run out of medication and the medication is required on the day, you will be offered an on-the-day appointment with a clinic GP. We do require at least 72 hours' notice for script requests without an appointment.

  • Scripts may not be written under the following conditions:

    • The requested medication is not currently being taken;

    • Three months have passed since the last consultation;

    • Authority-approved items are required; or

    • You are not a regular patient of Maple Leaf Medical Centre.

  • Patients who have not seen a GP in the previous three (3) months will require an appointment before any scripts will be written.

  • The charge for prescription repeats if ordered over the phone or without consultation is $20.00, payable at the time of request.

  • In the event that your request for a script is denied by the doctor, our reception staff will endeavour to contact you to inform you; you will therefore then need to schedule an appointment.

Test Results

At Maple Leaf Medical Centre, we do not not give laboratory results to our patients over the phone — UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY, when the doctor will have to call you directly.

  • All patients are responsible for obtaining the results of any investigations performed. If you do not hear from the clinic regarding your results, make no assumption about the results. Our reception staff may advise you that your doctor has requested for you to attend a follow-up to discuss your results.

  • X-rays, Ultrasounds, CT and MRI scans procedures all require you to book a follow-up appointment with the doctor in order to receive the results, which will not be discussed with you over the phone. Kindly book a follow-up appointment once you have done your test.

  • Having a normal result does not mean all your concerns have been addressed. Unless you follow up with the result, we may assume that your concern has been addressed. It is a partnership association to ensure we are able to deliver on our promise.

  • Maple Leaf Medical Centre absolves itself of any consequence that may arise from any laboratory results given to you by the reception staff members, since they are neither authorised nor qualified as medical practitioners to disclose or discuss such results with you.
